Lunch Mats

One of my goals for 2010 is to reduce my fabric stash.   The kids were in need of some new lunch mats so I made some. I still need to make more.

I made these for my husband’s co-worker.

Teacher Gifts

This year for my kids’ teachers I wanted to give a functional gift and something my kids could have a hand in making.  After searching the internet for ideas, I decided on marble magnets.  I went to Hobby Lobby and bought some scrapbook paper, clear flat marbles (found in the floral department) and a tube of  E6000.  I already had 3/4 magnets in craft stash.

The kids picked out the paper, traced and cut out the circles and glued everything together.   They did a great job.  The magnets turned out really nice.

Pouches

I got tired of the plastic bag my car registration and insurance slip was in. Plus the bag was all chewed up from getting caught in the latch for the glove compartment whenever I closed it.  So I made a pouch to hold the paperwork.  Actually, I made four.  I used some upholstery samples I scored at a thrift store a while back and some  non-stick velcro.

Headers

I’ll be using the header of the blog to showcase some of the drawings my kids’ do in Corel Paint.   The first one is by my oldest and it’s titled, Hackers.
